ok so i got a 4#3B as a first heli , (well sort of) and its probably not the heli so much there freaking hard to fly (and get parts 4) they are super touchy

this site has been invaluable to me in learning tricks to fly a real model helicopter here is some advice given to me on adjusting the trim and it took time but it worked.

In any case, you need to set up the heli before it leaves the ground. you need real smooth slick floor i used my basement which is expoy coated and my dining room which has hardwood which give good slip. You could use a sheet of glass or mirror to the same effect. A garage floor is rarely smooth enough, an ice sheet would be perfect.

The idea is to run it up until it starts to move (slide). Note the direction and correct it by adjusting the trim. DO NOT LIFT OFF THE SURFACE! When you have it set so that it take a second or to to start drifting you have it as good as can be. It will never be hands-off stable, its own wind generated vortex will cause drifting. Then is the time to try a very small hop. Just an inch (2-3cm) off the ground and back. If it lands very near take off point youv'e done well. Keep trying!

it took me like like 2 hrs but this is my first 4ch ive had itsince mid dec and i still suck,

also the above adivce was given to me and ive gotten tons here all helpful some how so im passing it on.. hope it helps
