Post subject: wont hover? |

Hey all,
First post Unfortunatly looking for help.
I bought my Dad a RC helicopter for christmas, nothing fancy or special.
http://www.amazon.com/Syma-S107-S107G-Helicopter-Yellow/dp/B004A8ZRB0/ref=sr_1_1?s=toys-and-games&ie=UTF8&qid=1327442414&sr=1-1
all has been fine until now, where i crashed it into the ceiling and it came down, acclerating faster and faster (it was dramatic) until it smashed into the arm of the sofa. Fortunatly nothing broke or snapped upon first inspection. I then tried to fly it, where it would hover, then fly round in circles getting bigger and bigger with no way to control it.
Does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this?
Thanks for any help! |

jojc:
When you crashed you bend the main shaft. Thats how you got the flying in circles bigger and bigger. It's refered to as the 'tolit bowl effect'. take it appart and check the main shaft on a glass table to see if it's bent.

You have the dreaded Toilet Bowl Effect (TBE) there Jojc.
It's caused by a bent shaft and or flybar. Only known cure is replacement of the damaged parts. You will need to take the shafts out and roll them on a sheet of glass to check for bends. You will see a bent one no problem - it's obvious - then you will have to get new parts. Straightening out the old ones is just about impossible, I've tried all the methods with no success yet.
Welcome to the hobby and good luck.
