Hello,

I chose the Big Lama because it's a Coaxial Helicopter, and that's the only type I can fly without crashing. (So far...)

My Flight Sim features a list of 12 different helicopters, and I've managed to crash 11 of 'em within 15 seconds after liftoff!

The Big Lama is the only bird I can actually fly and land comfortably, because it's a coaxial design.

I also like its "automobile type" passenger compartment, which I find more pleasing than those streamlined "bullet-type" canopies of the sportier birds.

I really like the dedicated forums such as this one for the Big Lama!

Mine's gone. Poor me. Sure was fun though.

Good luck with it Hal.

Hey...I was also reading that the BIG LAMA can be fitted with a miniature Video Camera!

That would be cool...I could take videos of my land from the air, to see if my sheep really are straying onto my neighbor's vegetable patch!

Is it just live video, or can it be recorded on a ground receiver or DVD recorder?

You record on a memory chip in your little camera then down load into your computor. I got my camera from nitro planes for $ 19.00 then had to get a memory chip. A Sand disk. Can't remember how much the memory chip was but it was not much.

Elder, the cams like mine use a 4 GB micro sd card. I also use a Class 10 (speed) card for HD video to prevent frame loss and dropped frames. The cards are very inexpensive. We use the "real" 808 #11 HD cam. You can watch our flight videos to get an idea on the HD resolution and also a here.... http://www.youtube.com/user/thefiredude52 For information on our cam and reputable dealer visit our Big Lama Facebook page and click on the "photo's" then click the album with cam and it will give you details. http://www.facebook.com/ESkyBigLamaPage

Our seller is listed the and very goof. There are many knockoff cams out there so be careful you don't get junk. If you buy one I'd suggest the seller we list on our page. We also provide a tech tip on making your cam mount and as you'll see in our videos we have nice smooth vibration free videos for the most part.

I ordered that camera. It hasn't arrived yet but according to the tracking info its made its way to NY. On another note I just finished installing my new motors. World of difference. With the canopy off I was able to see the vibration was partly do to gain and the proporional was off a little bit also. You can't get them perfect but it flys smooth with the canopy off. Before I adjusted the gain it was allover the place. Real waggy. Scared me. It doesn't take much on the gain to getit right. Thanks for all the help guys. Might even put the military canopy on, even without decals.

I didn't think the weather was going to be good enough today to fly outside but it looks like it might be clearing up a bit. My new camera hasn't arrived yet but I do have an older generic version of the 808 #11. This one is a $10.00 version of it. It works ok but the bright sun light really messes it up.
