Here's our tech tip on mounting the "real" 808 #11 HD key chain cam on the Big Lama. It's relatively easy to do and provides a nice smooth video. There are many sellers out there that sell knock offs of this cam so be careful. Ours in a "real" 808 #11 HD cam with true hi res and delivers great video. There are only a few sellers who sell the "real" cam. We have purchased several and use the following seller who offers excellent customer service and support as well as fast shipping.

Howdy from SC. I have a cheap generic version of this camera and it works OK but not good. What can you expect for $10.00 so I was thinking of getting the newer one. When it comes to computers I'm pretty much a plug and play kinda guy. Is this one easy to use? No looking for and down loading codex that kinda stuff? Just turn on take video load to PC. Or computer. I use a Mac most of thetime but I do have a PC. I bought it just to run the clearView flight sim. Thanks for taking the time to make and share the video with us.

Tom the newer 80 #11 HD cams like mine are very easy to work and download the videos with. Just takes a couple times to get it all sorted out and down, but works great Wink

Great, thanks Tony. Still no motors for my lama yet but its a long way from China. Been kinda side tracked lately with a plane I've been working on . Its a giant F-15 a little over 5 ft long. Made from Home Depot foam insulation. Got a 4x8x1/2" sheet to make it. Did the first taxi today. Looking good. Hope to do the maiden flight this weekend.

I think I'll order one and see how I like it. Thanks for the info Tony.

Tom

Update: Just went to ebay to have a look at the key chain cam. They have several different versions. One is the 808 #16. It looks like it has some different options. Not sure if I could handle that or not but was curious if you had a look at it.
Tom
Update #2: just found one with a 120* lens on it. This is getting fun.

Tom I hear the #16 is nice, but not a lot better than What i have now the true/real #11, but they are good as long as you buy from reputable seller. You can find all kinds of neat stuff like that lens, but honestly mine do fine. I did buy a few spare lipo's for my cams (2) just to have around since shipping from China. I must admit the seller of mine id pretty quick. Had each in about a week from China which isn't bad Wink

Saw the video of your flight over the water. And there was that big rock in the back ground again. I saw it in another video you made. You ever wonder how it came to be there? I ordered one of the cameras.

I think you'lol like the cam Tom:) Ah yes the "Rock". It's called "Morro Rock". It's one of the "7 sisters" here where I live. All volcanic plugs from a zillion years ago Wink Google Morro Rock and there's a ton of info it. Smile

I will have a look at it. Things like the rock interest me. And the harbor looked beautiful. Got PT today so while I'm out I'll go in and check my mail. Maybe my Lama motors are here.
