Finally had a clear morning with no fog, just monsoonal clouds. Took both cam ships up and got some altitude flights in. No wind and were great flights. This is Big Lama Cam ships #1 & 2. Was up during the night with my aching back so decided not to drive anywhere and it was cloudy anyway, but great Saturday flying weather. Due to low speeds and rpm cam was a bit rough, but was after the view for a change this morning. Video is in in HD (720p) and best viewed in YouTube. Great video Tom! Cam turned out nice. Pretty darn steady! Good job bud. Now you know look what you went and done! Created work for yourself with thta inspeciton lol. Wink

The link to your video worked fine. If you want the video itself to show here in the forum just use the YouTube tags in the editor when making your post. Pretty much does it for you Wink

Oh yeah and you better get them gutters cleaned out lol. Just use the cam and rotor wash Laughing Cool

The gutter guys are coming to put leaf guards on so I'll let them clean the gutters while they're up there. Living out here in the woods I need the leaf guards. The video was still vibrating badly so I thought of Newton. An object at rest, anyway I added about an ounce of weight to the bottom of the camera. 1"x1" square piece of lead. Did the trick. Now off to try and figure out this video post thing.

Tom at the top are the tags in the editor. For a YouTube video firstt hit the YouTube tag then put in your video link next to the tag, then hit the YouTube tag again with your cursor at the end of your video address Wink

Now for the cam lol... if you had to add that much weight to the cam to get rid of the wobbles then one or two or both is happening. Something to check Wink

1. Cam mount is too loose.
2. Cam is not mounted tight enough to mount.

* Also try to mount cam as close to CG as possible Wink

Never a good idea to add weight if yo can help it. You'd be surprised at what little extra weight can do, things like throw off the CG, decrease flight times etcv etc. When we talk about adding weight as well we talk in grams not ounces.

Tom you are missing the bracket ] on the first YouTube tag. using the editor will put it there for you.

I have the cam mounted right under the center point of the rotors. Might be the foam I used. Its the electrical foam insulation like you suggested but its kinda old so not quite as foamy as it use to be. As for the CG the heli flies great. Couldn't be happier with that part. Also I figure if it can carry my iPod around it can handle the weight. It might not be an oz. I was just guessing. Its 1"x1"x1 1/8" and it really made the video stable. OK now to try the youtube thing again.
