Out on a limb here with a off beat question...
Do all canopies and bodies of the same size helos fit each other?
Or do you have to be specific to make, model and type?
I'm looking for an Apache, Airwolf or Jet Ranger body for my HBK2 and can't seem to find any good ones online.
Cheers and keep the parts together.... |

Think you'll have to be specific there Derekby, when it says 450 it usually means a T-rex or compatible. Make sure that your hearts desire will fit before buying or you could be sorely disappointed.

I don't know if this site will be around by the time I can "show you what I got". I'm still trying to correct yaw problems on the training stand. Once she hovers on that, then to the floor and see how I can do...then (when the wind decides to die of here on Ontario~~) I'll take her out to the park and zoom around...should be fun...watch you heads.
Thanks for the vote of confidence, though~~~ |

|Ok, so I'm out online shopping tonight and see the body for a 450 Sea King...it's shown on a T-Rex, but looks like an HBK2.
Does T-Rex/450/HBK2 fit together....before I go out an spend lots of the wife's money~~~ |

Hiya bud,
you will get it done, I think I know what you mean by training stand, I am too noob to say with any knowledge, but, just from what I read and what little bit I have done with my b400, I think it might be good to do that right on the ground, on pavement.
Anyway, from what I see on the Net is: yeah, trex 450 and HBK2 bodies should fit, BUT...couldn't find a DEFINITE yes to that....
I already spent my wife's money, now, i have to spend mine, drat! |

I just discovered a new dealer in town but he mostly has Blade and E-flight parts, looks like for the smaller ones too...are there any comparisons to the HBK2??? The closest hobby store that has E-sky is almost and hour and a half away...
I also got confused (again) on the HBK size...450 right???
cheers, |

Hiya Derek,
Eflite has the CP Pro, compareable in size, but..I dunno, but from what i hear I would stay wit the the HB2, the CP is like a wasp, lotsa power and not easy to fly, very quick, and unstable, which makes it great for 3d I guess, now, like I say, just what I read and hear, I never had one, "they" say it is a next step up from Co-ax...hmmm, i just can't see that myself. Then again, I read of some ppl who think it is the cat's meoww...
Yes, the HBK is 450 size, or so close as to make not much diff. |
