cost of trex

I keep hearing about the high price but I saw an ad for a RTF 450 for about $450. Is that possible? Also, do the parts cost a lot more than a B400?. I like the looks of the trex more but I want to be able to maintain it in a cost effective way.

Yes that price is indeed possible. And in terms of maintaining your T-REX. That can be really expensive or really cheap. The thing is there are so many parts for the T-REX made by many different manufacturers (for every parts too) that the price and quality varies.

Genuine T-REX parts can be costly but the same part from other manufacturers can work just as well and goes for only a fraction of the genuine parts. If you have good eyes, CNC parts from China are a real bargain.

But also remember to be careful, usually the cheaper the part the worst in terms of quality they are.

I checked the price again. It was actually 450 British pounds! Which is closer to $643. I checked rcuniverse and ebay and didn't find anything close to the price of a B400. Maybe a used one, I bought a used cx2 that was better than my new one.
What are cnc parts?

I am transitioning from 4ch to 6ch CP and was planning on building a TRex 450 from bare bones by piece milling the parts, and then just fly my 4ch during the interim...Problem was most good 6ch heli's require a seperate transmitter started looking expensive so I thought I was going to be out approx $600 total. but I ended up getting a steal on ebay I couldnt pass up check out what I got for $900! ON EBAY
