Lost my helicopter to the water gods last week.

I was outside practicing maneuvers when a strong gusting wind pushed my helicopter out over the lake.

I fought valiantly to bring it back to shore but not enough skill against the whipping wind and I dumped it about 10' offshore.

By the time I got off the porch and out to the lake, no sign of it not even a ripple on the surface.

So another cheap helicopter ordered I should be flying again next week.

Time to make some styrofoam floats in case it happens again.

Jim

Hi Jim,

That's sad, I hate to loose a craft. Floats sound like a great idea if you're besides a lake.

Tom.

Hi JCDoherty,

Sorry to hear about the helicopter going deep 6.

Looking at you location maybe your getting the Bermuda effect, if the Triangle can swallow a flight of 5 Avengers the Lake may just be claiming the small helicopters. Well it's a thought !

For sure do some floats. Even if you end up upside down you can still recover the copter.

Many years ago I was flying a mini E-Flite rc helicopter in my small back yard. The only water around was the bird bath. Sure enough, that's where I landed. My skills didn't match the need.
