After using a dx6i for a couple of years i have recently purchased a dx8. I haven't bothered with the telemetry stuff yet but am moving my fleet to the new tx and i must say if you like the dx6i you would surely love the dx8. It is a fanastic piece of kit and the sticks are so unbelievably smooth. I am sure i have more confidence in controlling my helicopters and am improving because of it. So if you have looked at this tx and wondered about getting one i would say go for it. You wont regret it.

Right on there Chopper, I bought one of the early ones, had some issues when DSMX was released, the firmware needed updating, other than that it is fantastic, I've had it 18 months and haven't looked at the Telemetry stuff yet, the way I fly I don't get time to check the screen anyway.

I find the vibrating timer handy. If flying a 450 i didn't always here the dx6i bleeper. The dx8 is so user friendly.

Nicest feature with the DX-8 IMO is the fact that you can set the flight timer to only start and run when you "throttle up" to a % you set. Add to that the vibe alarm, backlit screen, balances nicer on the strap then my DX-7, ability to slow down servo speed (great for plane landing gear or flaps), ... A really nice Tx, I'd buy again, but with a 30 model memory in it, it'll be a while before I'll need another one.
