Well, it IS a beast to me anyway, lol.
Hey guys,
Finally worked my way up to it!! All my wheelin' and Dealin' paid off!
Man, I was beginning to think I was on Wall Street with all the trading and selling and buying I did to get here! But...I did it, and that is all that counts.

Hey Guys!!
Thanks alot, really worked hard for this actually. Not really Big Daddy Warbucks, though wish I was, I had to trade quite few helis that I liked to get here, and other various and sundry items that I kinda wanted to keep, but, the Bank President (my Wife) wasn't gonna let me have the money so...just went back to my Marine Corps days and Adapted, Overcame and Improvised... Twisted Evil I will admit something so there is no misunderstanding, I cannot work or I lose my disability, (kinda got a little piece of my head missing from shrapnel in 1981 in Beirut) ha, good excuse to use for when I don't quite understand all the things Tom and Crash try to tell me... Rolling Eyes But anyway I have to really horse trade to get what I want. Of course she gets me almost anything I want, but..there is a limit..Drat! Crying or Very sad I am having a little trouble trying to get all this wiring done, I guess Futaba expects you to know everything when doing the wiring..sigh...the receiver is just numbered instead of telling you what goes where like the Spektrums do. And now I have a BEC that I never had to know about before. And a step-down for the rudder servo...Wuut? Question haha, just more things for my po' abused brain to learn. Anyhoo, I got what I wanted, well, woulda been nice if it could have been the Henseleit but I will work on that later, much later, they have waiting list a mile long anyway. Man, I can't wait to get it in the air, At the field there are 2 guys that have 600s, one Nitro and one Electric, ...damn, they sound good when those huge blades chop the air!!!!!!! Very Happy
Tom,... and anybody else that wants to, I finally got a new Graphix card for my comp yesterday and it works MUCH better now, lol. So, Skype should be working good now,Just PM me and I will give ya my user name, be very glad to talk to somebody...anybody, ...haha.
Wink

Hey Trouble, the wiring is pretty easy when you are working on a trex.
#1-aleron
#2-elvator
#3- speed controller or throttle
#4- gyro
#5- gyro gain
#6- pitch
On the side of the heli where you have an aleron and elevator servo on the same side, that is #1 and 2. The other aleron servo is #6
The stock speed controler only gives you a 6V bec, so if you use a servo like the futaba 9254/9257 or the JR 8900G you need to use the extra step down between the gyro and rudder servo to make sure that the servo is not run above 5V.
If you have the combo kit with all the Align servos you don't need the step down, all those servos can handle up to 8V, so run it at 6V and you will get some extra speed out of it.
I agree with how you buy stuff, When I want something I have to sell something or save up for a while to get it.
I also agree about the sounds those big blades make in the air. That was one of the things that drew me into the bigger birds. You gotta luv the presence when they hit the skies..
Enjoy

Hey Crash,
Ok, so I do not need this regulator, right?

Here is my Receiver, duh...lol, the red wire you see hanging loose is from the UBEC, it goes to the Batt slot, right? the coiled red and black wire go to a little 7.4 lipo batt, what is the purpose of the batt to the UBEC?

Just an overall view of the elect. stuff there, in case you have a suggestion or tip...whatever.

I see from your setup that you are using the align 2 in 1 for the power supply.. It will give you 6v's that is why you may need the step down.
What servo are you using for your tail?
What transmitter?
the gyro they give you works pretty good and is super easy to setup/

Ok, now, on to the T8,
umm, I got it at my LHS, shudda ordered it online but..wanted the TX NOW!!! Ok, the left stick has a ratchet in it, very light but still has one, ...but it is Mode 2..cuz the rudder is on that side (left side). Just wondering if that sounds ok...? I took the little metal ratchet out but the stick just falls down when you hold the TX up.. like it's dead, lol, I put it back,... thinkin 'bout filing the little teeth on the plastic rocker that the ratchet moves on, that way it still will have resistance but no ratchet....what ya think?

I did that with one of my radios, use a piece of sand paper to sand off the ridges on the throttle lever. Then put the metal thingy back in.
