Hi Harry:
First I'd like to comment on the main motor. The best thing about it is that you can replace the carbon brushes when they fail. You don't need to replace the motor itself. Brushes are very cheap. They are also easy to replace.
The tail motor is like that of a E-flite cp pro or cp pro 2 or SR. They do last much longer than the stock motor. I've got 100 flights on the MSR before I had to replace a tail motor. The little E-flite tail motors are far superior than the stock honey bee and Falcon 40 type.
