I have had the mcp-x for a while now and i have crashed it loads of times and am amazed at the abuse this heli can take. But just recently i have had a small but annoying vibration. A new feathering shaft failed to fix the problem. Balanced main blades and still no difference. Main shaft seems fine with no splits. Yesterday i took off the tail rotor and let it swivel on a needle and it seemed a long way off balance. A piece of tape about 4mm square sorted the problem and the vibration is cured. The tail rotor is so tiny i never thought about balancing it before.

So now you've a spare feathering shaft... ? Laughing

Just goes to show a few micrograms of tape can cure a problem. I'll make sure I balance my tail rotor - too easy to imagine that as they're mass-produced that they'll be identical.

It may be tiny, but it turns so fast...
BTW, I had a spare KBDD tail rotor for a Blade MSR and slapped it on my MCPX and find it to be much better then the stock blade. It's orange too so that really helps in keeping the heli visible.
