Just modified my 450 and replaced the original undercarriage and skids with T-rex 600. Lots of people seem to have placed 500 skids on them to get a wider stance to help landing. I was ok with the 500 ones, but as a newbie I tried the 600 and it works really well. Gives me the extra confidence.
Will swap to the 500 skids in due course.
Also placed 500 tail fin and put PRO3D 335mm blades on which I found for £11.
Have uploaded a few pics to show the difference in the skids..

.
Was there any problems with the skid mounting holes in the bottom plate? Or did they nicely line up?

I did that mod to a buddy's HK 500 Pro last year, only the 600 skid set without vertical stabilizer, just drilled the top of the leg struts to suit the fixing point on the frame. The heli looked OK with that mod, so 500 skid set on a 450 would not look out of place either.

Hi,
Holes dont line up so just placed stock set underneath and drilled two holes. quite easy to do.
500 skids look better on a 450 heli, but 600 is fine for now.

I did similar with my Blade SR, I fitted it with Blade 400 skids, probably helped a bit.

But the best thing I did with the SR was put it on Ebay that solved my problem.

Gone back to 500 skids as landings are ok now. Only use 600 size when I attach a camera underneath, not that I can fly it that well to get any decent footage!!
