Hi to all.
I am checking prices on the Blade 400 RTF. Hobby Ally in Edmonton AB
has one for $ 469.99 Canadian Dollars + free shipping in Canada.
Is that a good price or is there a better place to shop?
The Canadian Dollar is about the same as the USD.
Thanks
Mike

Mine was $400.00 about 2 months ago. US dollars, but it
was a sale. I jumped on it. $469 Is probably a fair price.

I paid $ 469.00 US for my B400 about a year ago.

I think that's about normal.

You are welcome Mike. The ONLY drawback to this deal is the fact
that the radio does not come w/a charger or batteries, but that is
a non-issue in My opinion. Good Luck. I`m Happy for You,

Scott Cool

You will NOT be sorry. The DX6I radio is a real good radio and the B400 is still the best of my four (4) helicopters.

Scott has a point about the rechargeable batteries in the Radio. But you can put 2500 mha ni-cad batteries (radio Shack) in the radio and get a E-Flite charger (6 volt) for the radio and it will keep the batteries above 5 volts which will keep the radio happy. I called Horizon hobby about the batteries and that's what they told me to do. I'm real happy with it.

Tombo242 also told me about the plastic trim tabs sometimes breaking in the radio. It's rare but does happen. He said to get the Aluminum trim tab after market parts and install them which I did. Very easy to do and cheap also. I love the DX6I. Good radio. I got rid of all my other radios. The DX6I is all I use.

Keep use posted on how things go.

I got spektrum clone AR6100e receivers for $ 4.99 each and installed them in all my foam airplanes. Parkflyer range but it does work. Got the receivers from Target hobby in China. I think I have maybe 8 or 9 ar6100E clone receivers and three AR500 real Spektrum full range receivers I use with the DX6I radio.

Thanks a lot Guys.
I ordered the B 400 yesterday, my plan is to leave it in the box for now & use
Dx6i with my 120 SR till i get the hang of things. I'm still waiting to get it out side. we had a couple of sunny days but lots of wind.
I'll keep you posted.

Good for You Mike. Sounds like a really good plan. You will really
appreciate the 120SR when it`s bound to the DX. I am doing
the same as PJDOG, as the DX-6 is all I use on all My aircraft. I would
love to have the DX-7, or the DX-8 just for the sake of having one
to play with, but for now I am content, & I`m convinced that You
will be also. Cool

Scott:

I had ask Tombo242 to run a test for me. I didn't have a spare receiver at the time. I ask tombo to see if he could bind two receivers to the same model number (9) 0n the DX6I. He did and all worked well. I now have several airplanes bound to model # 9. I have 4 helicopters and 7 planes all bound to the DX6I. I have 5 more planes in the build stage all to be bound to the DX6I.

Please note here folks, that the models have to fly without any trim at all. So all adjustments have to be made on the model not the Tx.

You cannot use sub-trim to centre the servos and if you do use the Tx trims you have to note how many clicks and on which control for each model. Far easier not to use the trims at all and set up like the free-flight boys do.

Tom.

We only use this system for co-axials and fixed wings, not for real helis.
