Hi.

I want to buy a helicopter as an indoor flier... Been flying 4 channel co-axial helicopters around my room for a while and it was great fun.. But I wanna upgrade it a bit so that I can fly indoor as exciting as I can fly outdoor. Been looking at the walkera 52.. Does anyone have any first hand experience with it?

The walkera 52 is very very hard to fly because it's so small and fragile. It's the most un-steady helicopter I've ever seen. All the time it flies, the gyro tires hard to compensate but never really succeed. You can look it up in youtube, there are some videos of it and you'll know what I am talking about.

Co-Axial helicopter is still the king of indoor fliers. I've tried going on to youtube and searching for the walkera 52 and boy you're gonna break lots of sweat just trying to hover it...

Umm actually, if you're an experienced flier, then you "can" consider giving a try. It's definitely a more challenging helicopter to fly indoor but can do much more than coaxial models...

I checked out these two videos:

and

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9X2IkcqKEA

and find it quite an interested model! Yes it's not stable and all.. And the gyro just can't hold the tail (you can see the tail wags on both the videos). But still, its flight characteristic seems quite acceptable to me...

By the way, I've never seen the real thing, just the videos... So my opinions are based just on those...
