It's finally done and flight ready. The eSky E500 build from ground up and conversion to DX6i and Orange Rx is finished. Today I did a flight with the finishing touches on trim etc. We had thunder cells developing to the east right after sunrise, but managed to get everything done in time. The E500 is much more responsive/touchy than the Big Lama and throttle is more critical. You just have to rmember which bird you're flying is all. Laughing

While out we also decided to take the Big Lama up for a flight. Both videos are below. Real happy with the way both fly now with the DX6i. Cool

Nice vids Tony,

Have you tried adjusting the throttle curve on the E500? If you're using the curve that I use for the BL that might be wrong for it.

Just a thought.

Tom.

Tom, I can't adjust the curve. Both are in Arco mode. We could never get the heli mode to work. I'm being given another Big Lama by someone I can use as a guinea pig test ship, but thus far everything I've tried to get them to work with your heli mode settings has failed. I know it must be something simple, but it has escaped me. Works fine in Arco mode, but doesn't give the benefit of throttle hold or adjusting the curve. Confused That probably would solve the throttle issues if I ever figure it out lol. Rolling Eyes

We must try a Skype conference on this Heli/Acro problem as soon as you get your computer sorted out.
