When I throttle up my lama V4, it spins counter-clock wise around and around. It never leaves the ground. I'm a newbie and every since I bought this copter, I've been having problems with it. I recently changed one of the servos because it froze. I installed the metal upgrade for the rotor head and swashplate. I have the swashplate level. Adjusted the proportional back and forth. I wonder if one of the motors has gone bad??? Another thought is that I've got a lemon. Does anybody have any ideas on whats going on with my heli? |

The most likely cause is that the two motors are now running out of sync and in stead of them counteracting each other and killing the spin effect, one of them is making the helicopter spin because the torque of one is now greater.
This can be caused by many things but the most likely one of the motor is worn out or a gear is worn out. What you have to do is get the two motors to be in the same condition and the gears all working correctly and the problem will be fixed. I know this is easier said than done but hope that was some help. |

Make sure the gears are not slipping on the shaft. I've had this porblem on my blade cx2 before. I just had to tighten the set screws on the inner shaft retaining collar. I'm not as sure with lamas becuase i don't have one but it should be something like that.

Thanks Hound and Ryan for your replys. Looks like I have solved the problem thanks to you guys. One of the gears was slipping on the shaft. After a close observation of the gears and shaft, I noticed the collar holding the bottom gear was narled up a bit and the screws weren't going all the way through the holes to make contact with the flat part of the shaft. Thanks again guys!!!!! |
