Hi Guys and Gals ... long time I've been quiet ... what with Covid and life ... things have been pretty quiet for me in flying.
I have been 3D printing like crazy .. ended up with a whole bunch of models to maiden ...
Anyway - due to CAA here - the area I live in is now Red Zone for flying ... so even if I want to fly .. I have to travel now, I have perfect river location for waterplanes ... all stopped ..
So what about getting the old 450 out ??
Powered up the TX and its display is shot ... so no idea what its doing ...
I have decided to swap out the Radiolink gear and use my Radioking MPM TX18S radio. The Rx is FlySky IA6 6ch ....
Now comes the crunch ... how to program the Tx ....
I cannot be the only daft person out there with an old Flybar 450 and a new EdgeTx radio ??
So please if anyone has a setup that can be put into this ... I need your help !! |

OK ... its me again ...
I am really struggling now ...... I've followed a number of YT vids on setting up the heli - but no deal.
Please can someone give me a setup for a Trex 450SE v2 Flybar heli ...
Radioking TX18S (same as Jumper T18) with EdgeTX 2.8.4 .... FlySky FS-IA6 Rx ..... with usual heli gyro having TX adjustable gain.
Normal non 3D mode switchable to mild 3D Idle UP mode ?? |

Tried it ... doesn't work also his Part 2.
Its based on the OTXUniversity setup ...
The problem is its based on the TAER Taranis - when you change to AETR - it fails.
The FlySky RX - if you try to stay with TAER - putting ESC to Ch1 causes RX to un-bind on re-powering up.
Much as I dislike the thought - I may have to use a Spektrum RX to satisfy the TAER setup. |

I've been looking at the Radioking TX18S manual, and can't see any setting for helicopters.
Have you managed to get collective pitch and throttle mapped onto the one stick? |
