Can anyone tell me how to go about replacing a blade grip on the Volitation 9053? Thanks.

Refer to this pic, bottomholders are the same.

1. Separate the link marked "First". Two links to separate on the bottom set.

2. Remove the blade screws #1 and blades.

3. Remove the blade holder screws #2 and separate the holders. They will then pull off of the pivot spindles.

Reverse this for replacement. (i.e. 3, 2, 1.)

Idea In return for this please fill in your location, it helps a lot to know where people are when trying to help them.

That was a very helpful response Tom. But now I am stuck with the "pivot spindles". How do I pull them out, especially the one at the very top?

Hi mjbiam,

The "Spindles" are little rods that fit into the blade holders. Once the pair of holders are free of each other you just pull them apart and they slide off the spindles. Should be no problem once you can twist the holders through around 90º.

If you mean the one holding the flybar, you can just leave that in place. If you want to remove that as well then I will have to do a little more research, I don't have this model but most co-axials are very much alike.

Thanks for filling in your location, closest I've been to you is BC last autumn. Loved it but it was getting too cold for me in October Sad .
