Hi guys,

I've been trawling the net for a 35Mhz crystal,
Futaba single conversion TX crystal channel 80 (35.200)
for my old Futaba Challenger FP-T5N transmitter.
I have other channel sets but would just like to obtain one of theses.

Usually I can source unusual stuff, however, this is proving to be quite difficult.

Wish I could help there Burgess. Strange how dumb the search engines are, I got one load of useless results. I did turn up the xtal in channels 79 & 81 35mz, Is it possible to use different xtals in the TX/RX combo?

Tom.

Sorry Burgess, 35Mhz has never been legal in Australia, we have 27,29,36,40 MHz and now 2.4 GHz.

However I am going to be in Hong Kong in a couple of weeks and will be in a couple of Hobby Shops and probably 50 dress shops, the dress shops won't do you any good but the hobby shops may, I'll add it to my shopping list if you like.

Thanks for your response Tom, I'm using 68 at present and have a few others to choose from, it's just that I'd like to obtain a TX 80.

That sounds really good Keith. It's probably easier for you to get to Hong Kong than it is for me getting from here to Cardiff by public transport.

Hi Burgess, No luck with your crystal, partly the language issues and the rest that I didn't see anything other than 2.4 gHz stuff or a few small drones on WiFi. Great trip but was very disappointed in the stuff I saw, only found a couple of retail shops and they were more expensive than buying on line, I didn't get to go across the border to Shenzen where most of the stuff comes from, but believe that most of the outlets are Web only.

Thanks for looking Keith, I've managed to obtain an 80 Txal from a UK local hobby shop via his online outlet, it arrived this morring. There's another online shop in Driffield, Yorkshire recycling used Futaba 35mhz kit.
