Here's a good link on the motors. He offers both A & B at this price, others offer only A or B and charge the same shipping for each as this man for two motors.

If I understand the question. I don't change battery size on anything the flies. The more weight you add the more power it required to keep it airborne.
I figure that the design guys spent allot of time deciding what battery should be in there. So I use stock batteries.
So I lied. On the B400 helicopter a 1800 mha battery came with it. It worked good but a 2200 mha is almost the same size and weight. I've been using the 2200 mha I got from China. They were real cheap. and there c rating is higher. In fact someone in China (HobbyKing me thinks) was having a big battery sale. I got 4 2200 mha, 4 2650 mha and 2 3000 mha batteries. The 10 batteries from China were cheaper than one 1800 mha Blade battery I got at my LHS ($ 62.00). The one from the LHS was original equipment that came with the B400 which I also got at the LHS.

Couldn't agree more Jack, that's where most of my batteries come from.
HK do have a warehouse in the U.S. but beware of shipping charges. I find here that it is much cheaper to get small things from the Chinese site than the German one. Prices are a little more, but shipping can be excessive.
i.e. Shipping for 2 x 180mHa batteries $1.99 from China; $40.00 from Germany. It's worth the wait for delivery.

Well just an update to the original thread content here. The DX6i and Big Lama aren't gonna work. Tom gave it his best shot and I tried others recommendations (incomplete info) and to no avail. It's going back stock today. I now have 3 new Rx's lying here with nothing to use them in so may have to buy a foamie or two down the road.
It's been a bit of a nightmare, but it isn't gonna work. I thought after months I had finally found the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. My mom always said there was no such thing and maybe shyould have listened to her lol!?
Kudos to Tom for all his efforts.! he's a gent and a half with a ton of patience.

Big Lama ...Houston..........Go with throttle up!!
Tom doesn't like defeat I found and he wasn't gonna let this whip him. I don't think he went to be until about 3 a.m. lol! I'm up and flying with the DX6i!
Just putting the finishing touches to her after dinner. Re-level swash, make sure she's trimmed properly and clean up all the wires before the canopy goes back on.
Hopefully will get calm winds first thing tomorrow and get an outdoor flight or two in, maybe more lol!!
Tombo is da man!!! Months and months and he only took a week

Got her done and flying with the DX6i!! Hammer down! Got all thew wiring cleaned up, had to adjust Gain and Proportional, wires all cleaned up tidy, swash re-leveled and it's vibration free. This heli handles sooooooo much better with the DX6i!! What a difference! Have the DR/Expo set at 80/20 and it's right on. Will check it more in the morning on her maiden outdoor flight out back! I'll do both an exterior video and in-flight video (on board cam) and mix the tomorrow.
